    Ignorance is no excuse...my venting

Ignorance is no excuse, people claim that we are all equal yet I get told that I am a Satan worshiper because I am Wiccan, I don't care about the whole "you watch charmed don't you?" BS but please don't go telling me that I am wrong in being Wiccan/Witch and that I worship Satan, or that I don't know what I am talking about, I have been a witch all my life, I may have strayed from my proper way a few times, but I always found my way back, and now I know for certain who and what I am, I am a Witch, I don't believe in the Christian god or the Christian Devil, I don't believe in Heaven or Hell, I believe in the Summerland's and reincarnation, I worship the Goddess, and the Gods & Goddesses of old, I believe in spells, and I believe that we all have our own place in the path, that every living thing has its own voice, I thank the Gods that I can not understand much, but I can get the basics of the language. I don't live by the whole Ten Commandments, and I do believe in evolution, I believe in science, but also the unknown, I believe in ghost, sprits, specters, and phantoms, I believe in magick, true you may not be able to see the spell or get immediate results, but you can always sense the power of magick in the air, wither it be the birth of a new born, to a tree spawning life. Everything has its own individual power, and people of closed minds cannot understand this, they chose to shirk those of us who do understand it or want to learn about it, and claim that we are wrong and are going to their "Hell". Well people say that ignorance is bliss, but if this is how people are, we are just living in the updated version of the Salem Witch Trials. I can fight for my country, I do so with out complaint and I would gladly give my life for any of my fellow Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, or Airmen, but I cannot get their respect for my own religion. *sigh* I will fight the fight of getting our rights as Wiccan/Witches and all my other brethren. I hope that one day my kids will grow up in a world where everyone accepts each others religion and that no one ever has to worry about "coming out of their own closet about their feelings".
